St Mary’s has resounded with music for nearly a thousand years. Our church has developed and maintained a tradition of nurturing and promoting good choral music. That tradition continues today, and we hope you enjoy exploring the music pages of our website to find out more.

Voluntary Singers

St Mary’s Church Choir is actively recruiting additional singers to join our existing choristers. If you would be interested in contributing to our choral worship on a regular basis, please email the Director of Music via our Contact Page.

Junior Choir

St Mary’s is proud to run a thriving Junior Choir called the St Mary’s Treblemakers. Treblemakers is open to all children over the age of 7 and membership is completely free. To find out more, please take a look at our Junior Choir page.

Choral Development

In September 2021 we embarked on an exciting new phase of our choral development, offering four choral scholarships and one organ scholarship. We are currently recruiting for the 2022-23 scholars. Richard Hammond-Hall is a classical pianist and a dedicated and experienced educator. Richard holds a first-class degree in music from King’s College London, where he was organ scholar to the internationally acclaimed Chapel Choir. He went on to study at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, gaining an MMus in piano accompaniment and continued his studies as an Artist Fellow. Richard’s teaching career has included working at the Merton Music Foundation and the Fulham Children’s Choir, as well as some of London’s leading independent schools.
