Here are the latest notices and relevant information for the Benefice.

“After church” Coffee on Zoom today

We are once again offering the chance to gather ‘after church’ this Sunday (21st of February) between 10.30 and 11.30 a.m.

It’s the same Zoom link that you may have used previously. You can just use it again. We have circulated the link and password details via email to everyone on the Electoral Roll. If you didn’t get the information, feel free to contact us to ask for the link.

Lent Course:
Living in Love and Faith starts Feb 24th

This year, because of the difficulties with meeting in person, we will be hosting a Lent Course online. Over the last three years, the Church of England has been working on a project nationally called Living in Love and Faith. It’s an important piece of work to consider together as church how questions about identity, sexuality, relationships and marriage fit within the bigger picture of the good news of Jesus Christ? What does it mean to live in love and faith together as a Church?

In order to engage with this project here in West Malling and Offham, we will be using the course materials provided as a Lent Course. The course will take place using Zoom every Wednesday between February 24th and March 24th. There will be two groups running. A daytime group online will gather each Wednesday at 12.30 and an evening group will gather each Wednesday at 7.30 p.m. Please contact Rev David to sign-up for either of the two sessions.

There is a course book but you will need to order it yourself from home and have it delivered to you. The course book is £5.99. If the cost would prohibit you from joining in, please speak to Rev David in confidence. More details about the course will be given to you when you contact Rev David to sign-up. If you’re not sure whether it’s for you, this little video promotion from LLF might help.

Alpha online, Sunday evenings from March 7th

The Alpha Course logoAlpha is a series of sessions exploring the Christian faith, typically run over eleven weeks. Each talk looks at a different question around faith and is designed to create conversation. Alpha is run all around the globe, and everyone is welcome.

In previous years, we have hosted Alpha courses in Offham but Coronavirus prevented that from happening last year. However, conscious that we do want to provide that important space to explore faith and conscious too that we have new people with us, some of whom have joined us online during the last year of various lockdowns, this Spring we are going to do Alpha online!

From March the 7th onwards, on Sunday evenings at 7.15 p.m. we plan to host a weekly session on Zoom and we would love it if you would consider joining us. We will aim to finish each evening by 8.30 p.m.

Further details will follow, but if this already interests you, drop a message to our Vicar David and he’ll add you to the list of those who are interested. If you’re not sure, then this little video promotion from Alpha might help.

Volunteer Networks in West Malling and Offham

In both communities, the networks are actively serving those who have to shield and stay at home during this current lockdown.
