In Loving Memory (memorial service for babies & children)

In Loving Memory 2017
In this year’s season of remembrance, a special service will be held to give space for the particular and special grief and mourning which is known by parents who have lost a child, whether through miscarriage, still-birth or in the early years of life.

The quiet, gentle service in the peaceful surroundings of St Michael’s enables everyone present to reflect on their loss and hopes for what might have been and bring God into the middle of all the emotions we feel.

As part of the service, all present will be given a chance to light a candle in memory of the child or children you lost.

The service has been timed for 4.00 p.m. in the afternoon in order to enable children to participate if they wish to do so. While parents may need to grieve the loss of a child, in many such circumstances older brothers and sisters may also need the opportunity too.

Everyone is very welcome.
