Hot cross buns, tea, coffee and soft drinks will be available.
Suggested donation is £2 per child to cover the cost of craft materials with a maximum suggested donation of £5 per family (if you have three or more children). But money is a worry then please be assured everyone is warmly welcome, regardless of your ability to make a donation.
On Sunday 31 December, there will be a single service for the Benefice at St Michael’s, Offham at 10.00 a.m. (instead of their usual start time of 9.15 a.m.)
The service will be a joint service for West Malling and Offham which Offham will host. Rev Jim Brown will be presiding and preaching. There will be no services at St Mary’s, West Malling that morning.
In this year’s season of remembrance, a special service will be held to give space for the particular and special grief and mourning which is known by parents who have lost a child, whether through miscarriage, still-birth or in the early years of life.
The quiet, gentle service in the peaceful surroundings of St Michael’s enables everyone present to reflect on their loss and hopes for what might have been and bring God into the middle of all the emotions we feel.
As part of the service, all present will be given a chance to light a candle in memory of the child or children you lost.
The service has been timed for 4.00 p.m. in the afternoon in order to enable children to participate if they wish to do so. While parents may need to grieve the loss of a child, in many such circumstances older brothers and sisters may also need the opportunity too.
Everyone is very welcome.
A special All-Age Service celebrating Easter Sunday, with Holy Communion.
The Rt Reverend Brian Castle shall be leading and preaching this special Cluster Service.
A candle-lit Carol Service shall be taking place at St Michael’s Church, Offham.
As well as reading the Christmas story together, we’ll be singing carols and all the children will receive a Christingle with all the trimmings!
The service concludes with the lighting of their Christingle candles while the church is otherwise in darkness. All are welcome.
Rev David Green will be leading the service.
We will be holding a special Memorial Service to remember all those who have died.
All Saints is a time in the Church year in which we remember those whom have died in the faith and celebrate our sense of connection with other Christians around the world and down the ages, especially those who lived godly lives and gave an example for us to follow.
As part of the service we will respectfully read out the names of all those who have died in the last year and for whom one of our churches led a funeral. You are welcome to add more names to this list if you wish to remember someone in particular. You will be given an opportunity to light a candle in their memory at that point and participate fully in this time of love, mourning and remembering.
